One of the guys at my work has season tickets to the Nationals and sells the tickets (cheaply) that he doesn't want or won't use. That being said, the tickets are AWESOME. We got to sit 5 rows up from the grass along the 3rd baseline!

This was my first time at the Nationals Ball Park, which is VERY new (it was opened March 30, 2008). It's a very open stadium and at the same time very intimate. The screen which shows replays and stats is HUGE and incredibly clear (not all pixel-y).

When we got to the stadium we were warmly greeted (almost like at Disneyland) by a cast of Presidential characters who are the Nat's mascots (along with Screech the eagle). And while Mike was busy buying a Nat's ball cap, I was abducted by Thomas Jefferson! The other picture here is taken with Teddy Roosevelt.
Being a Dodgers fan I was sad to see the Dodgers lose the game we attended 1-0, but Mike and I have been watching the Nat's games on tv a lot lately, which is slowly bringing me over to the dark side (haha).

One fun fact: It was Screech's birthday (the Nat's Mascot is an eagle named Screech), as well as mascot day so there were a number of funny moments throughout the game, including a birthday cake being presented to Screech, who in turn smashed it into a loyal fan's face, and a dance-off and race between the DC-area school mascots and the Nat's presidential mascots and Screech. Very hilarious!
Love the mascots. The running race was hilarious, saw it on TV, good fun. Dodgers are in last place, yea!!!
