FIVE GUYS!

There is a definite underground tension between the east and west coast over who makes a better burger (Five Guys or In-N-Out). So Mike and I ventured out to Columbia Heights in Northwest Washington, DC to see for ourselves what was so great about Five Guys and their infamous burgers.

Stepping into the burger joint we were immediately met with the smells of burgers and fries. The entry way was lined with 50lb bags of potatoes, and one corner of the place held a large box of peanuts that you could eat while you waited for your food.

When we reached the counter we could see the burgers being grilled over a large stove, and fresh fries waiting to me seasoned in their signature cajun seasonings.

We both ended up with cheeseburgers (yum!) and split an order of cajun style french-fries. I topped off my meal with a delicious, ice-cold, cherry coke.

The final verdict? Five Guys makes a pretty solid burger, and delicious fries, and the ability to choose burger toppings was a plus, but when we got down to the nitty gritty details and flavors, In-N-Out Burger is first in our hearts! :-)
